The brief

Businesses often want to test drive a potential new vehicle prior to purchase. Honda have historically used a logistics company to hold stock, hundreds of cars at a single point in the UK which would then be delivered to companies who wanted to organise a test drive. This was proving to be a very costly operation and Honda chose ROI Ltd – a sales support and CRM agency - to help improve their process who recommended siso’s software smartdrive. This software is being used by Lexus and Fiat.

Our solution

Smartdrive provided Honda with a solution that would allow business customers to choose where they could take their test drives and for Honda to manage their fleet more effectively. The dealer network was able to deliver the cars and offer a higher level of knowledge about the vehicle to the customer. This allowed them to keep track of diary availability and to allow web-based bookings by either the Honda dealer or the central ROI Ltd contact centre. Significantly, there was a major reduction in the cost to deliver each test drive, yielding savings of hundreds of thousands of pounds per annum.
