Major updates:

Smarthub

• Discover tool – We have always pushed the boundaries with our booking tools. Creating this new innovation, we talked with a wide array of undergrad students as well as technical experts to find exactly what our clients need. The Discover tool works within the Simple booking interface for very quick, browse and book needs.
• Location expansion – As needs within our clients’ organisations change, so do our systems. After listening and researching changes to the environments where Smarthub is used, we prioritised an update to our system to better facilitate where equipment and facilities are. The new locations features help keep your assets under control, and in the right place for what you need them for.
• Audits overhaul – Sitting within the Locations expansion, the audits function allows you to run stock checks to make sure that you have control over the location and condition of all your assets.
• AI Report builder and library – We have big plans for implementing AI tools in to Smarthub and Smartlab (see below for advances in Smartlab). The AI report builder is in it’s Beta stage at present, but it allows users to request bespoke reports to be made, simply by requesting them in natural language. These reports then go to building the report library.
• Self service kiosk – The kiosk is designed to be a self service booking and issueing interface. The interface can be deployed on devices at the point of use; that could be a workshop, a lab, or just to register use of equipment.

Smartlab

Smartlab phase 3 see’s the full launch of the product and introduces it as a fully functioning laboratory information management system. The advances in Smartlab include all the new features listed above with Smarthub.

• Chemical and scientific samples – Smartlab now has the ability to work with chemical and scientific samples, tracking their life-cycle from creation or addition, splitting or combining, through to expiration or disposal. Smartlab Samples record changes and key information about origins, regulatory information, and specific location right down to the co-ordinates on the sample tray. All of this is achievable from a simple to use, mobile interface.
• Chemical Segregation – With a number of other minor additions to our AI SDS digitisation function, we have added the ability to flag chemical segregation issues when auditing or moving the chemicals location (see above for more information on our updated Locations feature).
