The brief

UCA needed a system to make it easier for students to browse and purchase various small items to support their projects and studies.

Our solution

UCA already used Smarthub for equipment booking, risk assessment and training for students, so they were familiar with the app and needed no new passwords. The eStore uses many common existing Smarthub features that help students, such as favourites lists, tags, categories and payment history.

Students can order items from their on-line interface at any time, pay and collect when it’s convenient for them. The eStore also has a token feature, setting a token value against a consumable, useful for when there is materials provided but the university wants control over how much is taken.
