Siso launches Smarthub version 6.1

Version 6.1 is now available!

We are pleased to announce the rollout of the latest version of Siso Smarthub.

This is available to update now, please get in touch with your Customer Support Manager to schedule a time, or you can email us – [email protected]

The update will only take 15 minutes and we can schedule this at a time that suits you.

The full release notes are available to view on the Knowledge base (which is now available from your account tab within the system!).

Major updates:

  • Chemical Binder (Smartlab users only, please get in touch for further information) – You can now inventorise specific chemicals and upload Safety Data Sheets from a global repository, track SDS changes, export safety cards, create bespoke safety cards and molecule diagrams.
  • Locations & Floor Planner – This tool has been upgraded so that you can now place locations within groups using Sublocations (e.g. Room>Cupboard>Shelf). A new resource panel has been added so additional objects can be listed & displayed. You can also add bespoke forms to your locations, created in the Form Builder tool.
  • Room checklist – This tool has had a large overhaul. The page is now mobile friendly, so users can check off items on-the-go.
  • Form Builder – You can now create a bespoke form in the Form Builder tool that will prevent a booking from being made if it has not been completed. You also have the option to set the form after the booking has been made, with an extra ‘Action Required’ pop up in the user dashboard to remind them.
  • Online Training Quiz with https://h5p.org/ support – You can now create an online quiz in the Form Builder tool for use with the Training tools in the system. H5p support Moodle interactive content.
  • Enhanced asset permission assigning – You now have even more granuality when assigning permissions to an asset. Specifically, you can now set an assets visibility and usability by user level.
  • Built-in system help desk – For 6.1, we’ve added a new slider that has easy-to-access buttons for further help right from within the system. In the slider you can;
    • Toggle on & off the new accessibility toolbar (see news post on this from last week)
    • Contact Siso
    • Enter the Knowledge base from within the system (including the release notes!)
    • Submit user feedback (only available to admin users)
  • OAuth easier calendar sychronisation – We have now introduced an easier way to setup and sync with Google and Office 365 calendars. You can now link multiple calendars and users to an asset. The calendar link enables limited bi-directional scheduling of assets – for further information, get in touch – [email protected]
  • Image manager – We’ve introduced a new image manager for 6.1. This allows you to categorise asset images by combining them in folders, add notes, tags and link to assets within the interface.
  • Panopto content – can now be added to the asset information so users can access this as they book and before they use assets.
